Italy's first Sustainable Cocktail Competition with Sapling!

Green spirit and sensitivity have always distinguished Sapling Spirits, a British company distributed in Italy by Proposta Spirits. And sustainability is precisely the key word animating Sapling Sustainable Cocktail Competition, the first contest aimed at bartenders in Italy.

The rules for taking part are simple:

• create a cocktail with Sapling spirits inspired by the company's 3 pillars of sustainability (regenerative agriculture, low carbon emissions, reforestation)
• record a 30-second video
• publish it by 30 August on Instagram tagging @saplingspirits and @propostaspirits

 Video and recipes will be evaluated according to 3 criteria: sustainability, flavour profile and brand awareness.

The 100 best recipes selected will enter the second round of the contest, which will involve live tasting of the cocktails by the Sapling team who will visit the 100 venues.

The third and final round will take place in Florence, at the Sal8 Bar Agricolo where the 30 finalist bars will compete in the ‘Surprise challenge’ to create a new cocktail using Sapling spirits and local ingredients in one hour.

The prize up for grabs? A sustainable luxury trip to the UK, for two nights, worth €2,000.
