Sapling Spirits in Capri: sustainability, local produce and high-quality mixology

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming 26 journalists, influencers and professionals from the hospitality world – bartenders, bar managers and representatives of cocktail bars and luxury hotels in Capri and Naples – to an event organised by Sapling Spirits in the wonderful setting of Gelsomina, in Anacapri.

The meeting opened with a refreshing Gin and Tonic made with Sapling Gin, followed by a speech by Ed, co-founder of the brand, who explained the sustainable vision that guides every decision made by the company.

Surrounded by rows of vines, fig trees and fragrant herbs, Sapling Vodka was then presented, the star ingredient in a refreshing cocktail made with freshly picked Piedirosso grapes.

One of the most significant moments? The planting of the first three Sapling trees on the island of Capri – two lemon trees and one orange tree – as a testament to the company's concrete commitment to the planet.

The sunset over the Belvedere provided the backdrop for a new signature cocktail made with apple and rosemary, before dinner at the Da Gelsomina restaurant: authentic Capri flavours paired with our Raspberry and Hibiscus Vodka, mixed with fresh figs and basil.

💚 Let's continue to toast, responsibly, to beauty and sustainability.
